I remember looking at the red set. I think I remember reading that the red ones are a softer compound. I could be wrong - it's happened before.

What I got from reading this thread is the cab mounts are generally good for the life of the vehicle. People that have swapped them have found them in good shape. Also apparently the cab mount swap is difficult, with some of the bolts being awkward to access.
I have the universal radiator bushing kit on the parts shelf, but after reading this thread I'm going with the tacoma specific one.

The above statements don't apply to those who wheel extremely hard/jump truck etc.

For everyone's information I emailed ES and asked if I could purchase just the tacoma specific radiator mounts. Content of email below, answer was unfortunately no.

I would like to purchase just the radiator support bushings from the Energy Suspension 8.4109G Body Mount Set , is this possible?
    Re:
Unfortunately it isn’t, we only sell the complete kits.

    Thank You,

I would disagree, my 08' has 151k miles and the cab mounts were shot... The ride quality is night and day, more like when it had 51k miles. Installation takes time but is easy, long as you don't have a seized bolt like I did. The cab mount and radiator mount bushing replacement is by far the best mod for the money if your taco is a bit older or been wheeled hard.

Just finished the mounts...what a pita...drivers side would NOT fit with the reducer...had to use a plethora of ratchet straps to pull the core support to get it in

Did anyone have issue with the fan rubbing the bottom of the shroud with the large bushing on top? It barely hit but I ended up putting the small one on top. Everything fit perfect that way.

Yes, it's what happens when you space the body too far up. The fan will rub on the bottom of the shroud, remedy to that is to use the thinnest bushing up top like you did.

    Problem solved, crisis averted.

It'll self clearance itself otherwise. :D

Yeah it happened to me when I was messing with the heights until I figured out what the heck was going on. Then I spaced it down some and the issue receded and so did my worries. Lol.

I'm getting ready to replace as many bushings as possible, my truck has 130k miles and some pretty heavy offroad abuse over the years. I am wondering what all would be a good idea to replace. Obviously cab mounts, radiator mounts. What else is everybody replacing? And what is the tacoma specific radiator bushing kit part number?

I was looking at the master kit from energy suspension, do the bushings fit OME dakars and Light racing UCA's?
    Thanks

Uh, yes you can and I did. ES has a business relationship with a guy in CA that can obtain individual parts and sell to you. ES drop ships to you. I purchased the full kit elsewhere but used only the radiator core support bushings for now with plans on doing the rest of the body bushings in a few years. But I wanted to do all new bushings at the same time so I restored the kit's radiator pieces.

1" Toytec body-lift, K&N filter, coolant by-pass, mesh cotton screen delete, TTBS, WeatherTech in channel visors, 2.5" Rancho full suspension kit, Oil Catch Can, Toyo 285/70 A/T-2's, 21.5" light bar in grill, blacked-out grill, de-badged entire truck; and again, more to come.....
Will the body mount kits work with a body lift of 1" from Toytec??? When I did this body lift, my body bushings were just hanging on, so I know I'll need some soon?? Thanks in advance.....

Great! Can you share with whomever they have this business relationship so we can order the rad bushings separate? I'm sitting on the universal ones but want the softer rad bushings. Don't want to buy the whole set. Thx.
