    When they announced they were going to start here, they gave everyone 90 days to clean up. They also gave everyone a chance that if they had a serious problem, they would help them and provide counseling.

    I dont feel sorry for the people. They were givin multiple warnings. Including a good friend of mine that would come in under the influence of alcohal. We had several interventions with him and he would quit for a while, then return to his same old ways.
    Eventually he got caught.

    One of the guys at Uniroyal had a alcohol problem. They found him passed out in the parking lot once, he told them it was his blood pressure meds. No test. Another time he called in sick and the company president saw him in the bar. One Sat. I was working on a roll change with another guy, he walked in reeking of alcohol and announced he was going to shovel snow, fine by us and we finished in record time!
    His erratic behavior finally got him fired. When the union told him they couldn't help, he "went off" on them.:crazy:
