05 tacoma black headlights for cheap

was wondering if anyone knows of a site besides ebay that sells the 05 tacoma black headlights for cheap. there pretty cheap on ebay, but the shipping is expensive.

 

The cheapest way is to do the BHLM.

It'll cost you 1 can of spray paint. Mods don't get much cheaper than that.

It's really very easy to do, and there's tons of DIY info on this site to get the job done right if you take your time. The better part of 1 day on the weekend is all you need. Mine took me about 6 hours,and that included watching the paint dry.

 

I have a old set that leaked on me you could take them apart and seal them 50 bucks up to you!

alright maybe, i will let ya know if i want them. also though my headlights are one of the oldest 2nd gen and they have some faded spots on like the top of the headlight, is there any secret way of removing the faded spots

 

so i decided to do the BHLM myself, everything was going prety good, was able to detatch the headlights no problem, but.... when i started to paint the inside piece the paint was not sticking very good to the chrome, decided to rub it off and start over with primer and then paint it again.will do tomorrow, is there anything else i shoulda done or should do to make this paint stick better????

rough up the chrome w/ sandpaper or a 3m pad...also, use krylon fusion spray paint, its made for plastics adn doesnt need primer. i've used the stuff on a ton of BHLM and it has worked great every time!

 

Get krylon fusion paint for plastic from Wal Mart. Works awesome!! Do about 3 coats or untill you cant see chrome. Make sure you are carefull when you put them back together because they could scratch.

dude the whole oven thing is not a big deal. i was nervous too but my want for black headlights over took me. the 10 mins. at 300 is almost not enough to be honest. i really had to pry mine apart. but mine however is an '05. its definitely worth it man
