Hello all, I just purchased my first Tacoma back in the end of January. Its a 2000 extended cab, automatic, 4x4 and has 112,000 miles on it and according to the carfax has been very well maintained. The timing belt was replaced at 63,000 miles. Is has never been wrecked and seems to be in very good shape. There is a "thunk" when I am slowing to stop. From searching these forums I think that is axle wrap....My question is...What are things that need to be watched as the truck gets higher in mileage. This is the first vehicle I have owned with over 100k and I am shooting for the million mile club. From things I have heard and seen these trucks seem to be virtually in-destructable, but I am wanting to make sure that I am doing my part. Thanks!

90k on mine, rides like its fresh off the lot. Toyotas run forever...No weird thuds or anything when driving for me?

Kinda hate the ratteling door panels when going down a bumpy road or the freeway at 70. But other than that. she's great!

Lol I was at the parts store buying a k&n filter. The guy was teilling me about the million mile warranty on it. I think I pissed him off when I said "Damn, it will last almost as long as the truck!" lol. He drives a frontier :yay:

plan on another timing belt at around 150,000. Other than that just keep up with the fluids and it will be good to you.

I bought my '01 with 184k on it. I replaced the clutch, and it needed it. replaced one coil, after it started missing. Changed the plugs, found one that was cracked. All the belts were new when I got it, running with synthetic oil. Right now it's running awesome.
