Did you derp your front bumper, or did it come that way? I'm debating doing that to mine.

 

Work in progress. Waiting on some waterproof bullet connectors so I can replace each light individually if something happens to one. Debating on how to final mount them. If I leave it as is, that bar going across will be painted black.

 

It was crazy easy. I just used fishing line. After I heated it up with a hair dryer. It took less then 5 min. I also removed the trd stickers (was not a fan of the red in them).

He is right. SR5. All I did was plastidip the emblem.

 

The only chrome on it is the rear bumper and the SR5 badge ( renmoved all the others ) and the surround on the grill.

 

I had that same orange shite. Decided to match the black interior pieces but was considering white at first.

 

Looks good. I'm debating the same thing. Link to the lights? I would mount gen behind the grill cutouts for a cleaner look.

 

I have had an steering wheel alignment issue on my pro. Brought it to the dealership showing them the steering wheel was off to the right (imagine between the 12 and 1 on a clock).

They said they would fix the steering wheel with a proper alignment but they were not able to. Called me multiple times saying they were having problems getting the correct TRD Pro specs for the alignment machine and the head service tech was on holidays.

They eventually sent it to Dales alignment in Langley (very reputable shop). I picked it up the next day and first straight stretch the steering wheel was in the same spot. Truck never had issues driving straight but steering wheel is off.

I called Toyota again and they said bring it back in a couple weeks to get it sorted out. Apparently they want the head service tech to deal with it when he gets back from vacation.

Hopefully i don't have to go back 4 times for this

 

my wheel is off too!!! mine is at the 1 o'clock and dealer said they wont do anything about it!

 

Question was about the Bumper, not the grille. Some White TACOs come with White Front Bumpers

How do you like them? How many coats did you end up putting on? Any details you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Looking to do this same thing this summer.

 

Memory is a little faded so someone should verify this statement but am fairly confident it is correct. If these trucks have threaded tie rod ends then straightening a steering wheel is fairly simple. No alignment specs required. Raise front tires and rotate both tie rod ends same exact number of turns. Thread in on one wheel and thread out on other wheel. Does not change alignment only changes steering wheel position. Did this over 30 years ago when did front end alignments and mechanic work.

 

I believe the TRD Sport and Limited models have the color keyed front bumpers.

 

Have yet to install, but this came today!

Considering adding carbon vinyl wrap to the back plate, any thoughts on how that would look? (
