Maybe I am missing something but I don't see the KO2 in 265/75/16 in C load range. I checked their website but don't see it. I see it in an E. I'll try again. I may be one of the few here that has never owned a KO tire!

It's only available in E for a 16" rim, which is why I'm searching options. I still may just go with the KO2. BFGs have treated me really good for a long time.

Ah, OK. I wonder how much stiffer and heavier an E rated KO2 would be?

Found it. In my size that tire weighs 53.6 pounds. Not too bad but still about 3 pounds heavier than the Grabber X3.

I just put the Toyo AT2 LT265/75r16 on my 2017 Off-Road. I purchased them during the 4wheelparts.com sale at the end of last month (free mount and balance) and they were installed last Friday. They are a lot more aggressive looking then the stock Goodyear Adventures. They are slightly noisier going down the highway over the stock tires but nothing very noticeable. Filled to 35PSI cold they feel a lot more rigid going down the road over the stock tires. They definitely are beefier then the stock tires (which I had nothing but problems with). I bought mine for $156 / tire (blackwall) http://www.4wheelparts.com/Tires/To...spx?t_c=13&t_s=536&t_pt=101509&t_pn=TOY352610 I haven't taken them off road yet to compare to stock but just looking at the tread block it appears it will work much better than the stock tires in all situations. I also bought five tires and replaced the spare tire as well. New spare tire fits well in stock location.

I got a set of Cooper AT3s in 265/75R16 in C load range/6 ply. I got them from Discount Tire Direct online. $155.49 a tire, plus a $50 discount (since I missed the ebay special for $100 off orders over $450 by one day) and I'm getting a $70 rebate prepaid card from Cooper. For me it was between the AT3s and Toyo AT2s in same size and load range. I'm happy with them so far, will try out some mud, etc this weekend.

This Toyo keeps creeping back into the discussion with the Duratrac and Falken. Several other wild cards have been mentioned as well. It seems I have more choices than I first thought thanks to everyone who has chimed in.

Toyos, Nittos, Cooper AT3 look like some aggressive street tires to me. Only a few aggressive ATs in my book. ST Maxx, Duratrac, BfGs, and Cepeks. May be others that I just have not looked at.

And this is the dilemma I am having. I keep asking why I would want to change out brand new tires unless I am clearly going to a more aggressive tire. I am going up a size but if I can barely notice th tread difference I might as well keep what I have.

If you do not have a need for a beefier tire then wear out what you have. The tire types that manufacturers put on 4x4s nowadays just tell you that most people never take their truck off the road. Also manufacturer are trying to get max MPG ratings. Toyota should offer some tire options like GM does.

Wow, this thread has been great! I am in the exact same boat as the OP. I have been trying to deiced if I should bump up to a 17'' rim to get more options.

Side note, I did discover that they make a Ko2 in size 275/70r16 that is load range D.

Are your Duratracs much louder than the OEM tires?

Load Range D? Hadn't heard of that one. Will have to see what the specs are on it. However that size is really larger than anything I'd want to run anyhow.

yes. not bad, but they had a hum at speed. ive gone to a 255/85/16, after 40K (still had 11/12 32s left) on the DTs with no issues. would have gotten DTs in 255/85/16 if the made them.
