Anyone want to plan a trip to Hardrock in Ocala on an upcoming Sunday? Might even go Saturday afternoon to camp and then wheel on Sunday.

I need to post here more often...

Tax return just came in, will hopefully post some updates on my slower than ever build. Just ordered some parts from LCE to get rid of the EGR stuff and vacuum lines on my '84, some random hardware odds and ends, and front tube bumper from Addicted Offroad. Also have some other parts laying around the garage that need to get bolted or burned in. Saw the lazy springs meet you guys had and looked like a great time. Need to make it to a meet and greet too eventually too. Its been too long since I had some good "truck friends" locally. NY/MA transplant now living in the Boca area with a '16 Tacoma and a '84 truggy project.

Im on internet literally slower than dial up but here's the Marlin Crawler build thread.

    board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=62982.0

Sorry if some of the pics are gone, not sure if the link for them is dead or just not loading on my slow ass internet.

Another member here @Irongrave helped a lot with this build too whose now relocated to SC and has a 2nd gen taco now too. It started as a build in college then between graduating, work, buying a house and moving to FL the project got seriously back burnered but I'm taking a break from projects on the home to catch up on this this soon.

Thanks for posting the picture for me! Yeah you can see some plans changed or got scraped all together. It's painted now (Blue Hammered Finish) and looks much more presentable than that picture but it gives you an idea. Tried uploading the most recent picture I have but internet is to slow here. Off the top of my head this what's been done.

Axles and Suspension: 5.29s front and rear, EZ-Locker rear, spoiled front. Bobby long shafts, birfs and hub gears out front, new seals bearings, and trail gear rock rings, knuckle balls braced, front axle trussed, high steer cross over steering, IFS steering box and frame reinforced. 6.5" All Pro Exteme Lift.

Body: Truck is an '84 but rolled in '85 and sat since, hence the low mileage. Body was scraped and I picked up an '88 bod and swapped it.

Engine: Ditched the stock carb in favor of a propane system. Truck starts quicker than my Tacoma.

    To Do List:
    - Mentioned above, EGR crap and bumper.
    - Interior Carpet
    - All Pro Flat Bed
    - Roate rear axle and burn in new spring hangers
    - Then I can do drive shafts
    - 4.7s in the transfer case
    - Will get duals eventually but I can probably live with 4.7s (I can probably get away with 2WD honestly in FL lol) but duals will mean new drive shafts and I just want to get this on the road at this point.
    - Random odds and ends I'll have to figure out on he fly like my doors, have painted skinds and have junkyard salvaged doors that need a few parts but are fairly complete. I'll be sure to post up when I'm working on it if anyone wanted to come by!

I've got a sawsall but I'm contemplating if I want to take a inch of 2 off to comp for 33's flexing.

I've seen worse but you'll likely have some rubbing especially at full lock and some flex. See if you can live with the rubbing and if it's bad enough you'll see where you need to trim.

I wouldn't cut fenders for 33s. But if you do, don't use a sawsall. Your cuts will be all over. Use a dremel with a cutoff wheel, it's slow but controllable and able to get decent cuts.

Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?
I cut mine front and rear with an angle grinder. Lay it out with tape and take your time. Then I welded in 1/4 steel rod on the edge to put some strength back into the panel.
1st gen 4Runner, but the process should be the same.
