What gauge wire to use and what kind of female blade connector? If I use shrink wrap will only need the connector metal piece not the plastic crimp connector shroud. Would be bulky with shrink wrap too. I know you have to bend one of the relay prongs 90 degree flat. Size gauge of the quick splice for connecting to Green power wire.
Do I need to disconnect battery?
    Thanks.

I didn't disconnect the battery just have the key off, run jumper from relay to the green wire on harness near edge of the box , I just slid a pointed end connector on my jumper down into the green wire harness no splicing or anything worked like a charm, 16 gauge wire should be fine . Real easy takes about 2mintutes

Okay will try that pointed end connector. It bites into green wire and jumper for contact no need to splice wire. Kinda like a wire connector clamps. Thanks

I guess it doesn't matter which prong on the fog relay you bend out and connect the female connector to? Right. Because one thread says left side other thread says right side. But left side was youtube on a 2012 Taco. I guess it could depend on yes of taco and relay box set up. I have a 2006 Taco. Any comments suggestions?

Well it's probably the same , for instance if someone say bend out the right side prong with it still in place, pull it out and look directly at the prongs it's now moved to the left when looking at it so it's a matter of discription id say. I know for a fact the by having relay in your hand looking directly at the prongs it's the top left to bend

I got that small relay in the 2006 Taco. The one thread post date 12/28/07 from
pierced tiger posted pic shows wire coming from top right side prong. I guess this from looking at the relay box from driver's side fender. If I follow this direction don't want to blow up my relay box if wrong and shorts out.

Thanks Yoda Bucket for all your help. You seem to know this well. I don't know much about relay box wiring and just need guidance. I may have to purchase another Fog

I got something the other day in the mail from Amazon ordered a pick connector for 16 gauge wire to push down in the green power wire plug connection in relay box for my jumper on anytime fog lamps. It looks like a mini or very small microphone jack. It came in a bag of electric connections. It doesn't seem to look right, I guess I was expecting a pic and not microscopic jack. Could I use this maybe shove it in the Green plug without shorting out anything or should I just use like a tap? I don't want to splice into power wire. Any suggestions.

I just made my own took some snips and cut down a female wire end like the ones that go behind screws the ones with like a u shaped end and then crimped it onto the wire then wrapped with electrical tape and inserted (tapped) into the green wire. I'll see if I can get a pic

Have key off , take relay out, carefully bend out that prong, (right side) if lookin at my picture (left side) if it's in your hand looking at it, attach your jumper, run wire to the green wire on the harness in the picture then insert it down into the harness to make connection and Wala turn key on and push the button, if at first go it don't work check green wire connector may not be making contact

Yota suggests to use like a u clamp connector the type you put a screw through that connects a wire to a terminal. And he said you take tin snips and cut off 1/2 of the U clamp to make it like a tap then after you have connected your wire to it crimped it tight you can just push the end down into the Green power plug socket until it contacts.
Is that what you and the neighbor did?
