What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Is that the same as durian? Durian is the most stinky fruit I've ever encountered.... I salute you if you eat it.

 

What's your experience with the factory tsb?
I had mine done about 20000mi ago, I have had no problems, and it didn't cost me anything. ...

 

I wondered about that. I saw pics of the original bushing, the new Toyota replacement, and the ECGS one. ECGS is a beefier looking part. The TSB is good for 60,000 miles so that gives me 20,000 to go. If it does fail, I would think they'd repair it again? I'm going to remain optimistic.

 

I'll take the Bull Bar as long as it's not scratched all to hell.

Yea they might not be top notch in build but if they do ever fog/leak I'll just seal them up with what I use to seal all my retrofits. Or maybe put an extra seal in them now for peace of mind lol.

When I bought my truck they put on the side tubes which are cool, but I am not a fan of the gap. Not a hard core off-roader but the family constantly uses them to get into the truck, so removing them isn't an option. I just like the tighter cleaner look of the Toyota ones. Thanks!

It's not at all the same taste or smell, but they do look similar. And durian actually tastes pretty good once you get past the smell!

It's not the same bearing, the tolerances are tighter, I don't have the specs handy but as I said, haven't had any problems since tsb was done, and I have ~3" lift!

It sucks folks don't feel they can trust their dealer. I've been lucky and have had a good relationship with mine for over 10 years and 2 Tacos. I golf with my sales guy so that helps!

 

Yesterday I installed a USA Spec Ipod/Iphone Adapter, did the hose clamp mod for the tailgate, and put in an OEM color Matched grill. Today I replaced the foot rest under the E-Brake pedal that was missing.
