Yes, they all do this. It's a Toyota feature which cannot be bypassed. Apparently Toyota is coming out with a factory option, perhaps that will have a bypass of some sort.

FALL OF 17 ??

 

If i do past 80 and my ac is on my gas milage is around 10 but if i do 70 i feel like im winning great gas milage

 

Supposedly, my dealer had some info on it but couldnt say exactly when... he figured fall.

 

I spoke to my salesman about 2 weeks ago on the factory remote option. He expects them to be available late this fall. We shall see.

 

One of my friends ordered a new 2016 when they came available and paid for the $500 remote starter as an option in his final price so it would be covered under his factory warranty even thou it was dealer installed at a later date. He was waiting and waiting for it to come out, they finally gave him a refund about 3 months ago for it . .
