    Hi everyone,

So I bought a Tacoma that has like a 5" lift from the previous owner. For some reason it rides very smooth in the front, but extremely rough in the rear. Feels very stiff. Even feels very touch leaving my driveway which has about a 3 inch drop to the street. Front is fine, used to get tough vibrations from the front but changed the ball joints and wheel bearings and I'm good on that. Anyone might know what to look for on this stiffness? Any suggestions advice, thanks in advance.

Want to be able to tell you guys, but I have no idea. My guess is he went cheap on the rear and did the right way in the front. He did add an expensive suspension in the back which confused me on why is so rough

Probably on blocks. Take a picture of the rear suspension.

I should mention that the truck bed seems a bit tilted. What should I do about it? If I wanna swap that block for a real lift that provides me with a smooth ride, what do I need to do? I have 0% knowledge in lift kits. My front is perfect though.

Keep it, even if someone offered me double that for my taco with 215000 miles, I still wouldn't take it

I honestly considered selling it just because of that rough ride but I think I need to play the smart card and fix it that lift issue

definitely fix it, youll be glad you didn't sell it later. Rear suspension is much easier to do than front also. I've never wrenched on mine, but I wouldn't hesitate to work on the back (as long as you have the right tools). The front on the other hand, I would have to do more research, but from what I've come across, it isn't too difficult either. I would look into a new leaf pack if you want to level your truck out and get rid of the blocks.

Tacomas hold on to their re-sell value really well. I think you can get more than 14k.

Like everyone else said you just need to swap suspension. Curious what is in the front. That is pretty high in the front. If you have coil overs curious where it is set at. Back doesn't look bad but shouldn't be rough if done right.

Can't help without close up pictures of the suspension.

I think so too. Especially in my area tacomas are worth gold. There are 2001-2004 Tacoma for 10-14k out here is insane.

I'm out of town right now working but I texted my dad to send me a pic of the suspension so as soon as he send me those Ima post them up. I have no idea what he did to lift the truck, but the guy was pretty knowledgeable, used all Toyota parts even filters and what not.

Sounds good. You can do all the maintenance but skimp out due to cost. He may have went all in on the front then realized the back needed something so tossed in something to give it SOME lift. If there are coilovers adding a AAL or full pack and pulling the coilovers down will even things out.
