So just get new leaf packs? I don't need a fancy lift kit or what not? Just looked up pro comp kits and it seems way more than what I need. Point me in the right direction in terms of what I need to get the truck back at the same height as the front once I remove the blocks

I don't think there are coilovers in the back but I do think in the front. Back has this blue suspension air shocks or something like that. I'll post when I get the pic. I was wondering if I had to do anything to those air shocks like put air or something which could be the reason it rides rough

That front is pretty high in my opinion for any cheap lift that won't ride bad. The rear looks around 3" lift. Depending on the shocks, I would replace the leaf pack or get a AAL and then if you have coilovers lower the settings as it probably has too much pre load on it anyway. Until we see exactly what you got it could be as simple as that. If not you may need more than just the rear swap out. But it sounds like at a minimum you will need a AAL in the rear.

Coilovers was meant in the front. a combo of adding AAL / Leaf Pack and adjusting the front is probably simplest change if its possible. if you want to to stick with the front you will need more than just AAL/ Leaf Pack. Also depends on what is in the front. You can get a leaf pack with AAL like Dakar or an Expo Pack with longer shocks if it makes sense.

Once you have photos of what you have all around you will get some better more accurate advise from folks. I think with anything over 3" unless done with good components will be lackluster.

    Best of luck

Have you checked the tire pressure in the rear? Try lowering it a few PSI.

Good call. That would definitely make it ride rough. I had a buddy that had a 4cyl Tacoma and always drive it max PSI thinking it would get better MPG but also wondered why his tires would wear funny.

Unless there is a sentimental thing going on, that is extremely unwise. 28k for a truck with 215k miles??? Dude I'd be sold in a heartbeat. Then you could go buy a 2010 with 60k miles on it for like 24, and have 4 profit and a better truck.

Until you can ID all the components, front and rear, and how they are set up, everyone is pretty much guessing at how to make it better. They may guess right. Or not.

You think the front feels fine, which is nice, but what are you comparing that feel too? I mean it may be wonderfully done, or you may be missing out on something even better.

Did the PO not give you paperwork on all the bits and pieces along with maintenance history documents?

Anyway, once you get your info squared up, just pick up the phone, call Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road. Tell her what you have, what your complaints are, and what your goals are for the truck. She'll help you get it sorted.

For all you know, it's 4x2 and on spindles with stock UCAs and has no issues.

Let the guy post pics of his stuff before starting to tell him it's all fucked and he has to re-do it.

blocks wont give a bad ride, more axle wrap sure, but not a bad ride.

if they didnt do anything funky like a block and some crazy thick add a leafs, its your shocks that are to stiff.

Bingo, odds are you have D or E rated tires that are over inflated.

    I'm running 25psi rear with C-rated 35's.

Lol, blocks making a "rough" ride, maybe axle wrap.

OP post picks of your rear leaf setup.

OP, where are you located? Maybe there's a TW regular close enough that they could take a look and help you identify what all you're working with here.

Is the truck 2wd or 4wd? Pictures would be helpful. Experienced eyes on the truck would be even MORE helpful.
