People get too wound up over torque numbers. Truth is most wheels shouldn't be put on with 300ft/lbs. Hell the tractor trailers I work on are 500-600 and that supports 80K payload. Pretty sure he is using these for household chores and some light vehicle work. Drill is his main concern and I can say without a doubt that the makita blue/green line is awesome. I've burned through many drills in my years of wrenching but now I have that makita and I can't kill it or the batteries.

Of course you don't want to tighten your lugs to 300 ft/lbs. You would stretch if not break the studs but you do want that force to back them off. I have a Dewault 18V kit with 7 tools and use them all the time. The impact will easily take off the lug nuts. I always hand tighten them with a torque wrench when putting them back on.

If you get the 18V kit this should be your first addition. I have used my grinder / cutoff wheels more than I could count.

Spent 10 minutes cutting a pipe with a handsaw or 10 seconds with a cutoff wheel. Lost a key to a lock, no problem. Go to a pick-a-part and want to quickly remove that coil spring? forget trying to remove those rusty bolts. Cut them off in seconds. Heck I built a full winch bumper for my Bronco with one and a bunch of cut off disks.

But I've never done any of those things. Besides cut bolts. I live in an 800 sq ft apartment and sit in traffic. About my day to day.

Once I have a house, need for tools increases.

Nah it's financial reporting like public companies. They all issue their financials this time of year since it's right after year end. I don't do individual stuff thank God

I've honestly been too busy to even draft an email to resource management. I'm done with busy season today so I'll probably request tomorrow. I hope it all works out.
