I'm 19.1 or 19.4 miles one way. I can take 2 routes to work. The fun one on a twisty 2-lane, or boring and basic like a worker ant on 4-lane the whole way.

    I get like 250 a tank. :anonymous:
Edit: that's without taking into consideration the tire size difference.

More so than MPG's I do care about dollars per week on my commute to/from work. (6 days a week)

    When I had my Dodge 2500 quad cab/long bed/hemi/auto/4wd, and gas was $4 a gallon, I spent between $140 and $160 a week.....

A wreck took care of that.

No sooner than I got the Tacoma, gas prices dropped to $1.75 to $2.25 range. Mileage increased almost double. Now I average around $40 (+ or -) a week.

I couldn't possibly care any less what the MPG's are, other than for the sake of casual conversation. This thing is like driving a freekin' Prius relative to what I did spend.

Waiting until after LBL to shop for upgrades was a good choice, I think. Found a giant fucking dent on my rocker panel. Factory Engine Skid held up pretty well, you can tell it took a few shots but it's not cracked or anything. So I'm definitely getting sliders before Colorado and Slade because...rocks. I'm torn on if I want to go ahead and get skids for Engine, Tranny, Transfer Case. I don't see any dings or scuffs around the tranny area or transfer case, but I may play it safe and spend the extra $ to have the peace of mind. Lift and Tires wont happen til next year though, and I'm worried about if the stock suspension will hold up to the extra weight of a full set of skids and sliders.

    Hmm...

Sliders are high on my list too. Front skid got scratched and dented a little, nothing too bad. T-case 'skid' not hurt in any way, just got caked in mud. Gas tank is scuffed pretty good though. The cross member is scratched all to hell and back!

So this happened today. I think it looks great except I missed a small spot while derping. But I can mask and spray it without removing the front end again

I gotta take my grille and bumper off to mount my light bar in the lower valance. Not looking forward to that!

Your truck looks 100% better now

If you do get an ifs skid be sure it's compatible with whatever front bumper you plan to get. Idk if that's an issue with 3rd gens but it is with 1st gens.

AllPro requires skids and bumpers to be ran together. I can't run AllPro bumpers now that I have a different skid from a 3rd party. Something about holes not lining up but I just call it a good business model.
