I don't think the Kings have the payroll for him and if, which is likely, they miss the playoffs Sutter will likely get the ax. Once he's gone I don't know if Jerome would be much up for a home team discount in LA given that they are trending down over the last few years.

Plus Iggy is an extreme competitor. He was never happy in Calgary at team medicals in the fall unless he won in pretty much every category. As age catches up with him and he can't compete at a level like that I don't think he will enjoy the game as much. I'd be surprised if he's back next year for that reason alone. Like I said who knows though.

Could be. However I doubt LA ownership is happy with the results on the ice and a smart GM will protect himself for "#1moreyear" by shit canning his coach. This is what precipitated Sutter getting the job in LA in the first place so it's well within reason Lombardi will simply pull the trigger on a similar move again, possibly to a less defensive minded coach.

Um they just resigned him last may for two-years and option 3rd ... although John S and Davis P are being groomed.

It was Deano that gave out the bloated contracts that put LA in this money hole in the first place, Not that I blame him after the dominate 2012 record run, but hindsite is 20/20 .. even though just missed the 3peat.

If anything Sutter will return and may get hook if they look bad after 1st qtr next year.
