Tried 2 different coil springs and lift height still too much

So, I recently installed some bilstein 5100s to my 05 4x4 access cab. The 4th setting with stock springs gave me 4.5 inches of lift... currently on 3rd notch and getting 2.5 inches. I wanted to get new coils so I got the OME 885s. Threw them on there the other day set at 0 inches and got 5 inches initially and then drove it around the block and it settled at 3.5 inches... still and inch more that I wanted. Now that I'm fully pissed off and resdybro be done with this lift, im contemplating the toytec/eibach springs. They say that on the 0 setting on the Billy's that I should get 1.6 inches of lift. With my set up and differences in lift heights would this be closer to 2.5 or would it be more or less? I just don't know what to do at this point. Thanks in advance for anyone who can lend their opinion here.

Springs are seated perfectly in perch and we're every install. Perch is oriented correctly. Believe me that's the first thing I checked each time

24-239370. I agree something's weird. Could it simply be that there is less weight due to the access cab? Also with the stock springs they are TRD so I've been told that's probably why it's off as well. And I guess the 885s may be a little too beefy for the access cab. Just not sure

 

885 won't lift that much more.

 

If you were a 2.7 Prerunner, sure.. but you weigh about the same as a DCSB V6 Prerunner, so you shouldn't see ridiculous amounts of lift.

My 2.7 DCSB Prerunner got 1.5" at the .85 setting with stock coils.

With 884s I got 2.75" and it settled down to around 2.5-2.6".

Post some pics. Also, stock coils aren't red.. not sure what you meant by that.

 

Meant they are TRD springs not red. My bad. I just don't know why the 885s gave me 3.5inches. I have the stock springs on the 3rd setting cause I didn't want to run that much lift.

 

Well.. they haven't settled.

Mine didn't for like 6 months.

If they settle to around 3", then that's normal for your truck.

 

How are you measuring how much lift you achieved?

 

That's true. I may just get the toytec/eibachs for the adjustability and hope I get the 2.5 I want

Nobody knows. That's why Springs settling is not true
