Fog lights anytime mod problems

Tried the Fog light anytime mod today and got it to work but noticed when i went to turn my DTRL on they wouldn't turn on in the first position of my light switch but they do turn on, on the second potion so checked all my fuses thinking i blew one. after checking all my fuses (all were good) i decided to take everything off and put everthing back to normal to see if that would resolve the issue but it didn't, and now im wondering what i could have done wrong/what went wrong and how to fix it.

I remember when i was splicing into the green wire i might have made contact with the engine with the other end of the wire before it was conected to the foglight relay(shorting the green wire since its a hot wire from my understanding not sure on that though) but idk if that would be the cause of my problem or if thats even what happened im just thinking of what could have gone wrong.

2014 light stalk first position provides circuit completion (closes/to chassis ground)for DRTL circuit only.
Which MOD did you follow? What green wire did you use?

FWIW, NO splicing required for ND4's Fog Light Anytime Mod.

 

stupid question but did you check the bulbs to see if by any chance you burnt them when you made contact with the engine? Easiest solution might be it.

 

hey guys sorry for the late reply and its really weird i was driving the other day and i was at a red light and i noticed they were now on. they stated working again by them selfs and function properly. thanks for your guys responses though!

you can see the green wire i taped in to it was one on a connector located on the top right corner of the fuse box when standing on the side of the fender.

 

thats the green wire that i had shorted to the engine when i was hooking everything up.

 

I did this earlier and It worked but now they won't come on when my headlights are on? 2014 trd sport 4x4

 

My brake running lights won’t come on nor license plate light and all the instrument lights in my truck will not come on.

 

TAIL fuse blown

 

Checked all fuses. Everything is good. Even checked them with a meter. I did a fog light mod and all this happened . The mod worked. Put everything back to normal and this happens
