I just got the same combo of nitecore charger/olight batteries. They seemed like the best bang for buck with good quality.

Anyone else have one of the Blazeray flashlights? I got two and they are not anywhere near as bright as I was expecting, especially for 800 lumens. Doesn't seem much brighter than one I have with 83 lumens.

BTW, the buy one get one offer is incorrect. They charged for both.

Those fall into the "you get what you pay for" category.

I didn't want to spend a lot for something that might walk or get lost or damaged on a fire.

Isn't a good flashlight something that's critical in your line of work?

Good enough would have worked. There are large Stream light flashlights on the engine. I wanted something easily carried. We have a thermal imager to see in the dark for a search.

I have an EC20 also
EC20 is cheapest. P12 is nice also and uses a pretty similar LED. MH10 uses same LED as P12, but has built in USB charging port, and comes with a battery.

Edit: also might depend on your definition of cheap and long :)

Surefire E2D LED Defender Ultra. Purchased it in Dec 2014 for $200. I've carried it every single day since then.
I managed to break the belt clip off at some point. Surefire sent me a replacement for free. This uses CR123As. This is my only flashlight so I'm not sure if I would be considered a flashlight nerd. But I'm really happy with this thing and would only really ever replace if I lost it or it catastrophically broke.

I received my Fenix tk20R yesterday.

I've always carried a 500lm surefire fury in my center console. I use my Fenix hl60r headlamp for everything from mine exploring to a light around camp at night to working on my truck at night. The headlamp is a wide flood beam which is great for lighting up everything ahead and in your peripheal you need to see while moving around at night or underground as long as you don't need to see especially far. The surefire is a superb all around close to mid-range all purpose light. I picked up the tk20r for those situations when I'm underground and need a thrower to look down a deep shaft, or I need to see farther away than usual, like lighting up something on a cliff wall or hill side that's 200'+ away. It looks pretty damn great in my backyard but I can't wait to get it out in the field and test it for real. I also keep a 200lm stream light on the shoulder strap of my backpack as a backup/emergency light. I don't know the model as it was a gift but it's about 3" long, 1/2" diameter and takes 1 cr123 battery.

Those are just the lights I keep in my truck. Got more for the work truck and home too.
