Installing new oem tonneau cover

    Good morning, I'm installing the Tacoma tonneau and it's pretty easy but I've attached a picture and wanted to know if the black piece that's raised will be a problem with the new cover. Anyone deal with this? I could remove it but then there will be a gap! Thanks

    Mine came with spacers that addressed the concern.

    Did you remove the piece behind the cab? Where did the spacers go? I'm getting ready to cut the rail caps but if this top isn't going to work I'm not sure I want to cut them

    The part numbers for the seals that fit in that spot left and right. Also helps keep water out.

    Also you can't remove that bar because that's where the front alignment pin sits. 2 threaded holes in the center hold it in.

    Anyone know what the total price of all the parts and the part number for the cover is? Would like to add a factory cover to my truck.

    Your best bet would be to find someone locally to swap over all of the parts. Buying everything new from the factory would be expensive. Check Craigslist.

    tint soon...
    the factory cover isn't for sale via Toyota dealers, its a factory order part....you need to order a truck with one lol but CL has them or on here
