    Hi there!

Have been a reader for a few weeks and only registered early this week. I originally popped on here to read about Tacomas because we are thinking of getting a one. The Rav and Matrix were fine vehicles, but it's time for a truck. We are still undecided whether it will be 4x4 access cab or 4x4 double cab.
I popped into the dealers today and took the double cab for a 45 minute spin and really liked everything about it. Tomorrow I'm taking the access cab for test drive. We have no kids, but do have a couple dogs (golden retriever, and a lab mix) so the truck will have to be comfortable for them too.
I will be making the decision this weekend and will be going in Tuesday to order one or the other in silver streak mica! Hopefully the March promotions will ease the payments!
Thank you to everyone for the very informative posts!

    Conrad

    Congrats on the future purchase!!

I have the Access Cab and I love it. However, if you have kids or dogs you'll probably have to go with the "family version" of the Tacoma and get the 4 door. ;)

Going 4x4 is definitely a good idea here on the East coast!!

    Cheers.

Welcome to TW. Great site with lots of valuable information and some pretty interesting people. It's been a great site to give you insite on almost any thing you might be interested in.
If you can afford the difference, get the double cab. Just got mine in November. With 2 medium sized hunting dogs and living in the Northwest myself the access cab definitely would be tight on the dogs if you plan on carrying them in the cab.
Good luck on your decision whatever it might be. Ken:cool:

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Took a look at the the access cab truck today. First thing I hated was the sub, and second was the back seat lay out. Looks like I will be ordering a Silver 4x4 double cab TRD sport the middle of next week!

Great. That's exactly the model and color I bought. You can check out my pics. Got a nice shell on it as well. Ken

Hehehe, I'm laughing my butt off. No thumbs, but they have been known to catch a pheasant as it flushed. If not they depend on ol dopey me to bring em down. Fortunately between their skills and my luck we do ok.
