@mwc273 I found this on an answer on the 6"spring on Amazon. Seems to line up with what you are saying.

"If your using this spring (6 inch) with a 102" whip and ball mount then leave out the quick disconnect or the antenna will be too long for CB. If your using this spring with a 102" whip and a quick disconnect fitting into a stud mount (no ball mount)then put the quick disconnect under the spring. This will be close enough to a perfect 108 inch."

Going to go ahead and get the 6"

Picked this up today, my old drill is getting worn out and I need two drivers for the new front porch mod coming up soon. Also puts me in the battery group for a future purchase of the legendary nut buster. Included baby nut buster should work nice for light duty and possibly the fuck ton O' bolts on the upcoming DYF beadlocks mod.

Always been a Dewalt fan! It's pretty damn good when you can't afford Milwaukee tools.
I've got an older verion of the 20v drill that I've had for years and used it many times. It's a heavy hoss, but gets the job done

Used to have an 18v that was heavy as hell, wore it out and went to a lighter Porter Cable. Still have that one and it's doing pretty good give the amount of work I've done with it. Will probably retire it after the front porch mod. Wanted the Dewalt again to have the option of running the giant impact driver with the same batteries, if I ever feel like shelling the coin for it.

I hear ya man! I could use an impact, but it's not too easy finding the one that uses the older type battery.
Til I get one, I'll just use the Milwaukee one at work. Because the IT dept "needs" impact drivers...:D

Yeah, we use the 18v Milwaukee system at work, definitely like it too. Id say they are comparable to the Dewalt. Not sure about Milwaukee's mega, nut-busting impact driver as we only have the 1/4" impact, like the one in this set.

That's what we have too. 3/8 drill with 1/4 impact. I've used corded and cordless big Milwaukee in the past, not much wasn't torqued with it!
Used it for torquing earthquake anchors that had break-away heads when installing telecom eq racks.
