I am really liking the idea of mounting a led bar like the Rough Country one pictured below but in the peoples republic of MA we need to run a front plate and the dumbasses at toyota drilled the plate into the middle of the front bumper which makes it cover the center of this bar. Ive been searcing for a plastic plate bracket to mount the plate low but havent seen anything that fits the description. Please help point me in the right direction.

Saw those & definitely will; consider but I really dont mind drilling into the "lower bumper" to mount a plastic holder that will fit the contours decently. I have dremeled one from a silverado to fit another truck before but they were extremely close to begin with.

Not sure it'll fit contours much better that @ACEkraut 's bracket..?
    Plus it's only $35...

I did see in a post where someone found a Dodge Ram mount that fits the lower contour pretty well...can't seem to find it right now.
Be cautious of drilling into the actual structural bumper behind the plastic. There may be air bag sensors and ?
ETA: Looks like that's not a problem...thanks to "bmgreene" for providing info below..

Good luck? The light bar is a bright idea...

Mount it to your skid plate with a metal bracket extension.

Thanks guys! I am here to help or answer questions if you have any. For what it is worth, I sell a sturdy, good quality mount that fits on the truck well and uses existing bumper cover bolts to hold it in place. No drilling and no guessing. I have a ton of brackets out there and people SEEM to like them. :notsure:

On a 2nd gen, there's no sensors or anything in the structural bumper. I took mine off to install a winch mount, and there were no wires run to it, just a big aluminum beam.

I did a quick and dirty shift of my plate here in CA, where they started cracking down on front plates when the red light cameras went in (makes it easier to beat the ticket if there's no pic of your face with the plate). Just mount the plate in the same spot but bolt it on at the holes in the bottom of the plate instead of the ones at the top.

I mounted mine to the "skidplate" (splashguard). Then I tore it off when playing in the woods, so now it's mounted on the wall in my garage.
