So, the snorkel that has been sitting on my bench for the past year is finally on the truck. Not a job for one person. Unless you have more than 2 arms. Just waiting for the gaskets to dry then put on the fender flair. No more dust being sucked thru the wheel well.

As always, you guys are welcome to join the Central Oregon Landcruisers runs. We run most weekend. This weekend is a very mellow run out in the Millican Valley area. Totally stock friendly. Also very family, pet, grandparents friendly. Will hit a couple OHV play areas also. Here are all the details https://forums.centraloregonlandcru...=10&t=78&sid=6f038512688528ab183e3b2bcfeb1446

I've been to Bend quite a few times. High desert museum is pretty awesome. And I went there once just to order a custom trials bike from webcyclery. My dad is from Or and has 10 acres in redland. He now lives on the big island of Hawaii tho.

Going to be putting on an old man emu suspension on my 05 on Tuesday with new leaf packs. If anyone is interested message me and I'll send you my buddies address. Probably start in the morning. Anyone recommend a shop for alignment?

@willie64 how is that new alternator holding up? Have you done any serious winching with it on?
I will most likely go the same route now that I finally got a bumper and looking at winches right now.

If the routes are open (they aren't right now), I like to hop up sky liners and to broke top and back down the bachelor side.

Or power line road, over the lava flows and such.

I just got back from Wade Bryant Auto in Bend, they charge $80 for an alignment. Good work, very reasonable price.

I took my truck to a shop at 9th/Wilson on the east side. $50 and held up very well despite several attempts to knock it out of alignment. As soon as I put a lift on the 4 runner I'll take it to that place. Can't remember the name of the place but it's in the NE corner.

Just a little wincing but nothing serious. Just 'fun' stuff to learn about the winch. So far so good. No power drains. What bumper d'ja get? Winches are spendy but, Warn and ComeUp are quality. If I had not gotten mine for a great price I think I would have gone with a smitty 10.5. They have ratings that rival warn but are half the price.

On Fridays when I come back from L.A. Pine I usually take the powerline trail if I'm not in a big hurry. I always feel like those lava flows are going to pop a tire even tho I know it won't happen.

In a couple weeks, I was thinking of taking a trail off Finley Butte in la pine that will take you up to paulina, no gates. I don't think there's much snow that way right now. Have a few things to care for before I can play right now.

Good to hear...ComeUp is on my list, but then again smitty 10.5 price point is hard to beat. Went with addicted offroad's tube bumper. Can't wait to get it welded on.

Chris I am running an Engo 12k. Paid $350(ish) for it. One of this big guys at mile marker left and made his own company (Engo). I was hesitant because it was so cheap but got good reviews. I have probabaly 2 dozen pulls with it now. And over 20 of those just this winter. I'm very happy with it so far. The only negatives I can say are that it's fairly slow and fairly loud. But I'm not competing so it really doesn't bother me. It pulled my 7k lb fat ass through some deep steep snow this winter and it never once stopped pulling.

This is what I have.... only mine is a 9.5. Got it on a straight swap for my old tires and wheels.

Hey guys, I know I'm constantly inviting you guys out with us (Central Oregon Landcruisers), but I'm determined to get some more sweet tacomas into our group! I do have something everyone should put on their calendar if they can. Like so many of us with 4x4s we have had a blast out in the China Hat area this year and are going to give back.
Central Oregon Landcruisers are teaming up with the Forest Service as well as many local businesses to do a clean up of the China Hat area on May 20th. The forest service will provide the dumpsters at Coyotes Butte for the clean up and disposal of trash. We will finish the day off with a big catered BBQ and raffle! We are hoping to get as many people to this clean up as possible. Doesn't matter if you are part of COLC, what you drive, or if your even into off-roading. If you are interested in helping to clean up our outdoor recreation area then we would love to see you there.
Most of the rough details and discussion will be here https://forums.centraloregonlandcruisers.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=55
The final details are being figured out and all he specifics will be out very soon. We would appreciate everyone spreading the word. Thanks.
