Are you talking about the bed bolt or the bolt that holds the D-ring in the back? The bed bolt is T55 and usually silver. The D-Ring bolt has a short shoulder that allows the D-ring to spin freely. I do have an extra set of the D-ring mounting hardware (Toyota part #PT278-35054) that you can have.

I'm also always paranoid about breaking the extractor off in the bolt and then really being fucked.

I have never seen that before, usually the soft metal of screw gives and Extractor pops out.

Both are very seized, the T40 holding the D-ring is the one i snapped the tip off.
    The T55 wouldnt budge either.

I'll gladly take you up on this and throw you some whiskey for you troubles :hattip:

Yeah, I've personally had good luck with them as well, I've just heard stories where guys snapped them and then been really screwed because the extractor metal is so hard. So now I just stop and spray more pb blaster if it feels like it's really not budging.

Like others have said, soak the bolts with PB Blaster, let them sit for a day, and soak them again. For better results, try to soak the threads under the bed.

I'll be in Longmont this weekend, but I can go as far as Thornton to meet you for the replacement hardware if you need it. Just send me a PM if you haven't been able to get that bolt off by Saturday

I've had success using this stuff on rusted items and the nice thing is you don't have to be careful with it

I unfortunately soaked the bolts(and threads) as suggested to no avail.
I'm leaving at lunch today and heading to Crested Butte for the weekend - will be back Sunday evening. If you're not opposed to it, I can drive out your way after work one day next week and grab that hardware from you

Still do, but it's $100 cheaper and all I lose is the extra Storage room in the basement. My old one had two basement rooms and this just has one with a smaller main area.

Sure, if you want to make the 2-hr drive out here

Otherwise I can mail it to you in a flat rate box, or maybe someone in the area can TW express it.

I banged the shit out of my toe on the coffee table yesterday afternoon. I'm talking screen-door-in-a-tornado status. It's looking rather colorful today.

The weird part is I didn't hit the big toe or the little toe. Somehow I managed to smash into the "ring" toe (is that a thing?).

Probably because you rigged up a way to attach to your impact, is there anything you don't use your impact on?
