The mobtown ones seem to be the only ones that talk about being angled up. Are any of the other options you guys have posted angled up to any degree once mounted or are they pretty much straight out? And are all of these able to be used as step, it's hard to tell some look like they're tucked in there pretty good that you may not get any footing.

Most sliders aren't going to be very useful as a step. They sit, or should sit almost level with the cab entry. Ya you can step on them, but don't expect them to be useful in helping get in the truck, if that's what you're looking for. The C4 sliders have a big plate. Again, check my build thread to see what I'm talking about.

Truck looks good man, coming along nicely. I actually follow your IG already so I've seen and know what you're talking about. I'm not looking for them to help get into the truck more to stand on accessing things on the roofrack and what not. Some look like they've got enough place to step on to some look like you'd be lucky to get your big toe on there.

I figured you won't but I'd be curious to know how did you setup the initial conditions, what program, and if it's static or dynamic. Either way, I really like your design.

 Thanks for the kind words.

Well, if you're not looking for them as a step assistant, I can assure you with the C4 sliders you will have plenty of standing room. I use them to wash the top of the truck and never have any footing issues.

Honestly, I think they're just fine as a step and so does my wife that's 5'2 with short legs (i'm also short myself). It's obviously not as low as our original tube steps were but still usable as a step - it's probably what? 3-4" down from the cab itself? But we're not lifted yet.

Mine does not help at all for a step for my girlfriend hahaha. Especially when she's wearing a dress it takes her forever to get in the truck. I would venture to say that mine is only a few inches down, not helpful for any short people needing a step. It's nice for me cuz I use it to avoid getting my work pants covered in dirt but my legs are long.

That's an awesome video. I will never be abusing my truck like that so nice to know sliders can take a ridiculous beating and keep on going.....the frame now, that's another story...

A little tricky to install on the curved surface of the fog lights, but very pleased with the outcome. I have it on my lightbar, fogs and ditch lights.

Is there a noticeable difference like what the website states or just in the color?

I love my AllPro Apex DOM sliders. I had them powder coated at the same place that does the Toyota steps so I got that factory finish.

I think I understand what you're asking. The yellow light punches through dust and fog a little better in my opinion.

    It's getting there.
After doing some research, I will be going with mobtown. I work in industry (boilermaker) and Beamclamp is a brand name that I trust. To partner up with them on coming up with an engineered clamping solution is the way to go. I'm fully capable of welding sliders to a frame, but I believe that mobtown's solution is the best out there. Hopefully I'll be purchasing this summer and making the run down from NJ to pick them up. The only thing I worry about (and I'm betting it won't be an issue) is weld quality. I'd worry about that from any manufacturer though, and only because I know more about welding than the average bear.... or the average welder to be honest.
