    For the most part negative goest straight to the light. The switch just cuts the positive power, usually going to a relay.

    Wired them up to a spare battery. Looks like i connect the negative to the empty spot (negative)....but i need to tap the power wire to the switch i want ( one with all the wires wired together) then it works. Got a better way? I hate wiring!!!!
