Rajah, what set of Billy's are you installing?

 

same as yours, the RCD 5100's (B110). I don't have as much rear lift as you though, I'm on Dakar's. I'm hoping that I won't have the issue of fully extending those shocks. lol. I currently have Icon's, and I think they're too short.

 

what Icons you running? also, you selling them? lol

Cherreh, yeah the B110's are cherreh, well anything will be better then shocks that are shot lol! I think the B110's top out at 30"-31" I think, I measured my fabs before swapping them out topped out at 28" and I was told I'll be able to go up 1"-2" more max with the B110's

 

it's the Icon 56503's, and yeah, they will be for sale once I get these B110's on. I think the listed measurements are: 14.22" collapsed and 23.25" extended. parked and sitting on my level driveway, the shocks measure 21.25"... I believe this means I have about 2" of down travel left? the Dakar's gave me a pretty good rear lift, around 3.25", with a camper shell and full size match spare. I think those Icon's are rated for 0-2.5" lifts

I think the B110's only go to just a hair over 27" fully extended, which is still pretty far.

 

You're right my mistake yeah top out just over 27", but once I decide to go higher these will be useless, I might just do a shackle flip with 6" alcan's so i can delete the block

I did get stuck coming up by the swings in my tacoma, luckily I was with Bronson, another tw member and he pulled me out.

 

Speaking of shackle flip, I also want to do that too. There was more than a few of us who entered the archive garage giveaway on ig. Was gonna ask maybe if hed do a group order but may be better priced individually shipped?

I see. Yea, seems a little short. for that much lift in the rear I'd have gone for 10" stroke shocks, 9" seems to be a little close

 

Exactly what I would've done if I got em out lol! Yeah I know theirs that one deep area by the rope swing.

Yeah those archive shackles look super dope, never thought about a group buy, but yeah the shipping would kill in bulk, $20.00 priority shipping for HI but he is a tw member so he might go for the group buy since theirs already a discount given for any tw member

Gotta drill out the rivets that hold the stock shackle hanger in order to install the flip kit, I'm not sure if your gonna have to reposition the leaf pack or if it's a bolt up and go kind of thing.
they state that the B110's will work great for the kit, but They do recomend bump stops for the compressed travel so you don't bottom out on the shock, it supposed to add 1" of lift in the rear and provide better articulation.
I'm pretty sure you'll have to cut the exhaust pipe short to clear the drop in springs or you can just extend the hangers

 

hmm, not sure whats involved with an order…but installation, maybe some friends and beer, then if you dont start it, finish it when theyre not around


But like Philip said, drill/grind off the old one after you lift your truck off the ground and take off the tires and rear shackle/leaf spring bolt. Install the new one and probably cut exhaust pipe if its in the way. I didnt really read up on any of it, just know ive wanted it from before when I ordered the lift. I do know the other company offering it, you dont need to reposition the front mount if youre using stock springs, just gotta make sure it was in the right area of the frame.

Yeah, can see shipping in bulk may be killer, especially for something that small and heavy. I didnt even ask em but ill probably get around to ordering some shackle flips after I buy all kinds of shit from trailgear while its free shipping.

All that shock talk and its hard to know exactly what you need till you do measurements and stuff. Im running expos, timbrens, and stock trd bilsteins. I havent checked if theyre too short, but the ones that were suggested(and I bought) are too long. I dont think ive over extended the shocks yet. I also have my stock spring pack, a stock 2015 spring pack and some other misc leafs if someone wants to do some experimentation to lift their truck. If the u bolt flips had longer u bolts, id probably add a 1 or 2" block to try even it up.

I got stuck alittle farther up from that deep spot, but I did sink an old skool yota with 35s right there and seen a duramax with 37s get swallowed. Many others got it too over there. Some people get lucky, some people shouldnt even be in the valley.
