Tacoma production and distribution

As of 2015, the Toyota Tacoma is sold in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Panama, Bolivia, Chile, and the French territory of New Caledonia.

 

I was trying to focus on the US. Anyone feel free to do the rest of the world. Jeesh I can't do all the heavy lifting

 

I'm thinking DCOR MT inferno without P/T as I couldn't find one anywhere.

 

Are Tacomas called Hilux outside of the US...or is that a whole different truck?

 

Hilux is different. Sales figures for Tacoma probably include sales outside the US/ Canada. Hilux and Tacoma are sold in Mexico, not sure about other locations.
When I read the manual, it lists New Caledonia. Surprising since it is low population and close to Australia- you would think that the Hilux would be sold there.

I like stats too. I'm hoping this thread can be an aggregator of info that everyone can add to and get info from.

Around me I must say I've noticed Ford trucks really pile up on lots and then when I see Toyota dealerships theres not as many trucks by far. I read somewhere that Ford cranks out on the order of 2 million trucks per year but they didn't break it down by model or type. That number boggles my mind a bit and maybe misleading or innaccurate.

It is interesting to see where Taco's are sold in the world and why those markets.

 

I also wonder what the breakdown per state is, I wanna say that l read the Best selling new vehicle in Hawaii is the Tacoma and they were still able to get the X-Runner even in 2015.

 

yeah but the last few months I have been slacking across the board. I am way behind on the master price sheet and just don't have time right now to do a break out on production numbers.
