I noticed on their website it says gen 2 products... was this also a gen 2 mod that happens to work with the 3 gen?

@EagleUSMCRet, sorry don't know how they got into the console. Had a stereo shop do it for me. Only charged me 75 bucks with the parts and install, and for another 25 they installed the LED's in the hood scoop and put a new pressure switch for my under hood lighting. Can't complain for a hundred bucks.

That's what I was wondering about the Gen 2 gen 3 thing. Also do you need to buy the one with the ramball?

Yes it's sold as a second gen. You have to finagle it to fit a little bit, but the amount of real estate you gain in your viewing area is amazing. Before I installed mine the mirror was smack dab in between my skewp and headliner. I had to bend down to look around the mirror at stop signs and intersections.

You don't have to unless you have a use for it. I bought one with the ram ball, but currently don't use it.

Exactly, unfortunately I emailed them and never got a response so they haven't got my money yet.

I don't know, just felt like a good idea at the time. I guess you could always order a ram ball from Amazon at a later date. I'm using my unholey mount for my phone. Thought about getting a longer arm and another mount for the passenger maybe?

It seems to me somebody was talking about being able to raise their mirror and I don't believe they bought a special riser. Or was I just dreaming? LOL

Yes people say because the mirror comes with a dual pivot you can raise it. Still wasn't enough for me.

Ok, I'm short so it might work out for me just fine think I'll see about trying that first.
