It was an accident and an honest mistake. How would I know that my raging fire would fall through one of the cracks in the firepit onto the floor and cause a fire? I should be rewarded with a new fire pit, not punished by being forced to move all the stuff onto concrete with no awning

 

Too safe. 0 thrill. The fire can get as big as I want and there's not even a chance of it catching anything on fire. Unless maybe I can get it high enough to reach this tree branch 15 feet above it...

They played 10 songs, I don't know the names. I would ask him, but I dropped him at a friend's house for the night. I have a $10,000 vibraphone in my truck rn, he will be glued to it when he gets home tomorrow morning.

 

You guys should just build a proper REAL fire pit!
Find a semi truck wheel as the surrounding steel, dig a hole, set rim inside, bricks/blocks around it! Done!

 

For those that haven't seen the pictures posted elsewhere, here's a bit of my sister's wedding today. It was Lord of the Rings theme, but we ended up dressing as whatever we wanted. I was Forrest Gump.
It was a blast. Got to see family we haven't seen in years, and meet new members of the family. Plus, there was a nerf gun war.

 

If we owned we would. We just rent. Don't want to put anything in we can't take with us when we move. New firepit is between $100-$300. One we have right now was only $100. That's fine with me.

 

Costume party wedding? Now I see how it was appropriate to get them cases of monster for their wedding lol.

 

Looks like a good opportunity to redesign that area & put a fire pit recessed in the deck some how. Put sand under the deck for the embers to fall on.

That's my dream! But as I mentioned earlier, we rent we don't own. Why invest $1000+ for something we can't even take with us? Our landlord is a slum lord. He would never approve. We keep fixing the fence and resodding our yard from our own pocket. That's for our own sanity though.

 

Sexy af. I'd like to hang out in that backyard.
