The only up side I can think of is easier to park at the mall.

Maybe you meant 300mm f2.8? Nobody makes a 600mm f2.8, and certainly not for $3,000. Sigma doesn't even make a 600mm prime for any format. They closest they get is a 500mm f4.5 at $5,000. And Zooms that get to 600mm are all slow (f5.6 or slower)

Wow, you're like a walking camera encyclopedia! Honestly, she just tells me what she wants and I order it! I'd have to look up exactly how much it was but as I recall it was a few grand.
So I went and rifled through and here what it is. Seems to take pretty nice shots. F6.3 at 600, so quite a bit slower than I thought. Might have to re think it if she wants to use a doubler on it.

Well, the journey begins! I'm meandering down south. Despite needing a fresh alignment after the UCA install, I have noticed some improvements already. The lack of the superfluous, fore located item does require some adjustment in driving style. That could be a good thing I need to slow down anyway.

Only because I'm actively shopping for a 300mm+ lens that is f4 or faster and got ridiculously excited about a 600mm f2.8 for $3,000!
So I was :yay: at first, did some research , then I was :(.

I was hoping to be :bananadance:, but now I'm just :bananadead:.

The suspension got a good road test. I got sick of the freeway traffic and took off on State Route 7 at Tacoma. Drove that down to 12 and took 12 to the 507.

Finally off the road and 600lbs of the gf's gourmet dog food unloaded!
The real test will be with the camping gear, rtt, and kayak loaded. Not sure how much more that will effect the roll. That will be the decision point.

Love em. They do wear somewhat fast (probably 40k miles per set) but they are somewhat quiet for an MT, never slid in the rain, never hydroplaned, best in the snow, and they saved my ass on the escalator in Moab with having a double ridge bead. Probably the only tire ill ever get for off road, maybe iroks once its sas'ed.
