I wanted to hang them lower than using the stock bolts on the 500s and just the radiator supports... so a buddy of mine (Brandon from Avid Off-Road) and I fabricated some quick and dirty S brackets to hang further down. Then we just mounted up the 500's. I need to take some photos, but I keep forgetting. They hang right in the middle of the grill... perfectly symmetrical IMO.

Great thread... Did you put on wheel spacers or do those rims push the tires out more?

    Me too. :(

Did you do anything extra to get the tires to fit other than trimming fender wells?

Just to show us how the tires dont rub... please show us some pics on some uneven ground with the front and rear wheels stuffed and the wheels tured up front. I REALLY, REALLY like the look of those tires and rims but I just dont see how they dont rub the fronts of the fender wells in the rear and the backs in the front under full compression. Also, does the outside of the tuire not contact the top of the fender well under full stuff? Please make me a believer because that wheel/tire combo just looks ABSOLUTELY SICK and a decent trail/mud tire that wont howl like a banshee is EXACTLY what I am looking for!

Anything larger than a 285 will rub. I have trimmed my fender flares. Gotta pay to play!

What part of the fenders did you cut? Mine are painted so cutting the inner lip back is no biggie but I cant cut all the way to the outter surface and feel comfortable doing that on my own.

Yes. You will have to trim. But it's hard for me to tell you exactly where on the fender trim. I simply turned my tire, and then when it rubbed, stopped turning the wheel and left the wheel in the same position, hopped out and starting to trim until it cleared. This ain't rocket science. :)
