I've got 21k miles so far on my 31-10.5-15's. They are considerately louder than street tires on the road, but I live on dirt roads and encounter wet clay and mud more than most. The traction in mud is fantastic, especially since my tacoma is 2wd and the tires take the place of 4wd for my needs. They also handle very well on road with stiff sidewalls. If I was using my truck for mainly on road, I would probably choose a quieter tire. On a positive point, I have barely noticed any wear on the tread so far. I would definately buy these tires again, if they ever wear out.

I was also looking at the falken wildpeaks. I want 285s. Just worried about regearing? Or cutting anything or is it necessary with a 3 inch spacer lift. My pro comps are 0 offset 4.5 BS

I just put the Wildpeak AT3W on my work truck. Would have preferred the Wrangler Authority but they aren't available in the stock size and getting the auto inspector to approve larger tires takes an act of congress. While the Wrangler Authority isn't as loud as some people might say, there definitely is an increase in noise over stock. It's difficult to tell over the wind noise on my aging Dodge Ram patrol truck, but I *think* the Wildpeak AT3Ws are a bit quieter than the Authorities. The Wildpeaks seem to have good off-road traction, but nothing compared to the Authorities.

Doubt you'll have to regear, but trimming is almost always necessary when bumping to a 285.

Thanks! I've decide to go with the 265/75/16 authorities, all reviews look good minus the little humming. The treadwear looks the best out of everything I've seen. I'll post some pics up once everything is installed.

I've had them on my truck for over a year and a half and someone recently commented about my "new" tires. They do sing on the highway though. It just lets people know you're coming

I have them on my 07 dbcb, 265/75/16 c load. I bought the truck with them on so I can't pin point the exact mileage on them but my guess is around 8k-10k. Performance wise they are great off road. Got through some thick mud at an off road park going up hill, really impressed me.

Noise wise they are loud, well got loud. The trucks alignment was off so the fronts developed some cupping. I'm going to get Falken ATW3 in a couple weeks.

Just ordered a set of 265/75/16C $152 and change. Saw that and jumped on them. I'm going to list my Toyo AT2's with 7/32's of tread left soon if anyone is interested. May part them out for spares? If nobody bites for the set

I will be selling mine in the next couple of weeks. Located in Sacramento, CA. Hoping to get about $60 each. Like I mentioned in previous post two do have some cupping, but sill have lots of tread left. If the noise doesn't bother you or your rig is not a daily driver these should work great for you.

Got the tires Sat. (2 days) and had them installed today. I decided to go white letters out and paint (plastidip) the rings black. It gave my truck a whole new look. I love it.

I drove around a bit and got on the HWY for a couple of miles and the noise isn't bad at all. Same as the half worn Toyo AT2's and less than the duratracs I had before. The local GY tire store got the balance spot on. No vibrations. :bananadance:

Be sure to give us an update on these vs the toyo at2. Torn between toyo, authority, and wildpeaks at the moment

I'll say the Toyo AT2's are a bit quieter and slightly better on the street but I'm sure these GY tires are going to be head and shoulders better off road and snow which is what I want. I sold the Toyo's the same day I listed them on CL. Looking at the Falken's they are the cheapest by far but I think you get what you pay for. Lots of AT's in that class. They look more street biased but get good reviews? These and Duratracs which are similiar but slightly louder and more expensive are in a class of very few. Right B/W Mud and AT. I'm going out the Joshua Tree in a few weeks so I'll test them in the rough stuff and report back.

Just placed an order from Tire Rack. Should have them installed and an alignment done by end of the week. Hard to beat at $166/tire so we'll see how they work out....

I lost 1-1.5 mpg but that was going from stock 265/70R16 goodyear adventure with kevlar to 265/75R16 load range C authority's, plus I believe gas stations switched to winter blend around the same time too.
