    Stuff. Also things.
    What Brett said.

In my opinion, there is no other choice regarding a part that can quite literally kill you or someone else under the wrong circumstances. Not worth saving the money for me.
That looks fucking awful. Glad it wasn't worse.

wasn't trying to say moog was superior in any way compared to Toyota. For me the savings of the moog over time is the only reason I'd think about it. For alot of people without access to a hoist and full shop it probably would be a poor decision. my truck is on the hoist every 2500 to 5000km and gets the full pampered treatment so if there is an issue it's only 3h and I have a brand new one in my hands.

The Lower Ball Joints are easily changed in about 30 minutes with a floor jack and hand tools. Takes longer to remove and replace the tire then the actual job.

I might be considering doing this to make my conversion legit.

How hard was it to line up the new core support so that the grille, hood, etc lined up with the fenders and rest of the body?

    Thanks in advance

Moog I can honestly say first hand sucks. I've had Moog parts that lasted a thousand miles before they were ready for the dumpster. IMO Moog re-boxes a lot of Chinese junk and tries to lure you in with the "lifetime" warranty. A lifetime warranty is only as good as the vender selling the part, which in my case the garbage can got some Moog parts.

To be fair, I don't think a 1st gen was ever meant to weigh 9200 lbs.

For all you guys that are using Plasti Dip and you notice that your Plasti Dip is becoming dull and Faded , try this stuff by McGuire's . It really works great and brings out the Finish again to a shine. I've used a bunch of different products to try to bring back the shine and this I found is the best stuff.20170402_120426.jpg 20170402_120348.jpg 20170402_120437.jpg

If y'all want evidence I just removed a Chinesium (what MOOG is) balljoint from my truck because it had developed a good 4mm of end play after being installed for less than 2 years (around 15k miles). The other one that I replaced wasn't technically failed yet but moves so freely with a gritty feeling that I replaced it rather than risk it. My OEM balljoints on the other hand (the ones I removed at 20years 185k miles) were still tight but I replaced them because it's better to be safe than sorry and $230 to avoid destroying a steering rack, upper arm, CV joint, and tie rods is cheap as hell. Back to OEM again and ready to tackle another 100k miles.

Cheap out wherever you want but when your front suspension folds under itself on the road hopefully you can keep it from hitting anything or anyone. Of course don't forget to take pics too, always good to have more motivation to do it right.

The 01-03 had a recall and free replacement on those OEM joints that failed prematurely. Not sure what year truck you have but you may be eligible still. The design has been changed since then internally. I doubt the MOOG has been updated or was even adequate to begin with and could quite possible be based on the slimmer joint ring design.

Neverending convo, arguably the biggest issue with the way our suspension is designed. Normally cheapo balljoints are okay but our suspension puts the pressure on the thin side of the joint so only the best should be accepted.

    Looks like fun, where's that?

It really seems to come up again when someone post a picture and then it kinda disappears for awhile.

I'm convinced to go with OEM on LBJ's.

Given how often it is discussed it seems like a no brainer to me. The continuous discussion alone is a give away to me.
