    No, she's not blaming herself. My father has always been very demanding, and my mother has always let him have his own way. This time I guess she just can't let him get his way. I don't think they can fix his throat. He's been through a lot surgeries in the last few years and he probably isn't in good enough shape to have any more.

    In other news, a few years ago I bought my mother an old milkshake mixer, the ones you used to see in drugstores when they had soda fountains in the back. About 18" tall and lime green. She sent me an e-mail the other day saying it died and she uses it every day. She mixes Ensure and ice ream for lunch and that machine does a great job. I brought it home with me yesterday and took it apart and rewired it for her. she'll be happy when I bring it back.

    Sometimes I don't think things out. After I got it working, I put a little dish soap in the metal cup with some warm water.... I probably don't have to finish saying what happened when I turned it on.:eek:
