Theres a screw/bolt that can be seen from the top of the headlight, i think it has a philips head. Its been a while but it is there.
Edit: that is the fogs adjustment.
I beleive the headlight one is on the back of the housing. Check the trs hid thread for pics

Here is the back oh the headlight. You can see the small screw on the bottom right. I can spin that SOB all day and it does nothing! Can't find any in in the manual either. :annoyed:

That sucks. Mine has a bolt back there(see pic). But it doesn't seem to do anything. I know it's there for a reason. I just can't get it to adjust anything.

Thats the same bolt .. yes it does just need a flat surface , dark place and a nice wall from about 10 feet away. When i did mine i didnt think i was working but slowly it adjusted them down....

Yeah, its that bolt in the bottom right of your picture. You can also use a Philips screw driver from above to turn the gear around the bolt.

You are doing this with the lights on, in a dark area right? It's an internal adjustment, so you'll only see the light beam move. If turning the bolt doesn't move the beam up or down, maybe it's broke and needs to go to the dealership? Does the other side work?

Another vote saying that it's 100% that bolt. If you've confirmed that you're actually spinning the bolt but the headlight beam isn't adjusting, then something is wrong. For mine, it wouldn't adjust with the first screwdriver I tried. It was a bit too fat and wouldn't actually spin the piece that needed to turn.

Thanks everyone! I'm a dumb ass. I was turning it but couldn't see it moving because it was too light in my garage. I covered the windows then turned the screw more than a few turns and I started to see it drop.

Thanks for this thread. The bolt takes a 8mm socket and doesn't have a philips head on my 2016. I had to remove the two screws on the windshield washer fluid reservoir and set it slightly aside to get to the passenger side. I used a 1/4 drive ratchet with no extension. It took me 15 minutes, 5 of which was finding this thread.

Im so glad I found this thread !!!! I just had my Tacoma lifted 3''......On the way to work I got flashed by 3 different people. (not that way , lol) You would think the shop that did the lift would complete the WHOLE job. Including aiming the headlights. Glad you all had me covered
