Can't speak for an 09 but I wasted my money on mine...never used it. If I had needed it though it would have been worth every penny. I guess it was money well wasted. :)

My 01 has 150,000 on it now, I've had it for almost 5 years and so far I've had to replace the radiator, water pump, and one coil pack. Had to replace the exhaust system as well as the Air/fuel sensor in front of the cat. All of that probably cost around $2-$3 thousand. Also had the frame replacement done so I got new underneath parts now. That seems like a lot, but when I compare it with my Mitsubishi Eclipse that broke a timing belt (only about 30,000 miles on the belt) at 80,000 miles and wrecked the engine, and my ford tempo that just completely melted down after 130,000 miles (too much went wrong to list, all at once), my Tacoma's problems are minor.

hit 90k a couple weeks ago on my 05. Clutch master cylinder and clock spring are two things that have failed and had to be replaced. Other than that, everything else has been mods/accessories. :D

My '97 is sitting on 167K. For the first five years I was clocking exactly 25K a year, then I got married. Now I only add 4K a year. At least the age can catch up with the mileage now.
