    Few questions.

Looking for the high pressure hose reservoir gasket p/n. Looks like this:
    s-l300.jpg
    Tried 44327-12010. Not it.

Found 44327-30030 & 44327-30040 as the only Toyota part numbers fitting this description.

Also curious on the inner hose unions. Are those available as individual p/n's or just the rack seal kit? Any trick to remove them? They didn't want to seem to fall out.

    @Dirty Pool you may know?

I just replaced mine on Friday. Well, Toyota replaced it. Is that the crush washer?
Toyota charged me $412 for the hose and crush washer. I was a little sceptical because of the price.
Found it at a Toyota dealer in Wisconsin, for $380.+ over nite.
It should come with the high pressure hose but I am not 100% certain.

The unions could be stuck and require some persuasion. I have never looked for them separately. I have reused them many times over with no issues.

On the PS line my 99 uses 2 regular old crush washers. I have never checked pt numbers for the high pressure lines over the years to see if just the washer was changed or the line/banjo bolt or what. Your pic almost looks as if they just "connected" the 2 washers for easier assembly at the factory, less parts to drop etc.
The 99 has the "idle up" pressure switch port in the pump end of the line, see below.

The washers have an OD of .885" and ID of .635" ish.

Yeah the replacement hoses include that washer. I have two sets of pressure and return hoses.
Okay thanks for this. I thought I remember reading the unions aren't to be reused. But maybe that's in the Fsm....
I'll order those two part I listed and report back if they're indeed meant for the 04 application. Thanks again guys.

You got me curious about this.
The 2 seats on the control valve for the pressure and return lines are a light press fit and removed with a screw extractor (from FSM). If they are removed in this manner then Toyota considers them not reusable. In my experience the seats for the horizontal hard lines on the rack are the ones that generally fall out on their own but Toyota still notes them as "not reusable" for some reason (FSM is full of errors/typos). I have never used a new seat with any type of rack service on any of the lines.
I would leave them alone if they didn't leak with fittings tight.

    Ah. Okay.
I have generally loosened the pass side horizontal hard line nearest the inner TRE to drain down the system because it provides the cleanest option I can think of. But upon re-seating the hardline it kind of weeps. Not leak, put it collects as oily dust. Do you feel it's OK do use plumbers dope here?

I would not use any kind of sealer. The hard line itself may be tweeked (bent) a bit and not exactly perpendicular to the rack, might need to be tighter or maybe you are just seeing the residual fluid draining away from between the threaded compression fitting and the tube running thru it. Hard to tell over the web.

PS, not saying the seats could not be damaged. Give em a close look for any deformation or uneven ridges, pieces of shop towels etc.

    Update to my own question.

The power steering high pressure hose gasket at the reservoir is: 44327-30040. It is exactly the same that came off my 3.4 2004 that was installed from the factory.

I tried both 44327-30030 and 44327-12010, and neither was thick enough to fit the PSPH inlet. 90430-16242 will also work. But I'm curious why Toyota changed the later years from a two-piece to the newer one piece design. I have an idea why.
