Wheel Backspacing and Offset Info

So, best educated guess........2015 Tacoma A/C 4x4

17x8.5 wheels, 0mm off set, 5" BS.

Tires 285/ 70/ 17

3" suspension lift. stock UCA's (will get new if I have to)

Good Combo?

Anything to look out for with that combo?

Sorry, new to Tacoma's and wheels.

 

Got the Level 8 Wheels mounted up last week. Much better than what I had. And with the correct offset the tires are definitely out a little further. But not enough to affect anything. The big win is I have lots of room between the tire and my UCA.

Thanks to you it did work out. I was ready to buy wheels that needed spacers. But you gave me a heads up on that.

 

Ya I would really want to stay away from spacers

Hey guys , I'm still looking for help with wheels . 2008 SR5 4x4 , 2 1/2 " lift with TC UCAs . Right now running stock steelies with 265/70 16s . Want to go with 285/70s not sure what size wheel ,16 or 17 ? And what width ? I think I need -12 offset and 4.5" BS but not really sure . I know it all changes by the width of the rim also . Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance .oh yea , I want American Racing wheels , Baja ! I have been using a wheel calculater but I do not know all the specs on my OEM wheel .

4.5 backspacing worked for me L/R UCAs 3"lift
BUT I'm running 265/70/17
285's should fit but you may have to trim..

You should be fine I was running 265/70/17 on stock suspension
I had a little rub on mud flaps

 

Thanks , I think I finally figured out what will work .Going with a American Racing Wheel "BAJA" ,17x8 with 0 offset . Falken Wildpeaks A/T3W in LT 265/70 17. . This will push out 1.3" further from the suspension and over an inch of "poke" . The LT is just under 32" and 10.7" wide . I should be safe . Thanks again

That's basically what I'm running now until I get my sr8s on
A little wider wheel but about the same backspace. Same tire size

 

Ok so I just installed 20x9 0 offset with 5" bs with toyo mt 33-12.50 tires

My truck is an 08 double cab 4x4 with a 6" procomp lift

And the knobs of the tires are just grazing the bolts at the end of the sway bar… Is this normal and did I screw up and get the wrong wheels?
Would a small space or help?

Does anyone know if a 17x9 with 4.25 back spacing -12 degree offset would work on an 08 with 265/70/17.
No lift.
I've placed order for the wheels and now I'm freaking out about if they'll fit ornot.

Use this site. Enter your OE wheel and tire size and then your new size.

I just installed 265/70/17 cooper stt pro on 17x9 -12 offset and got a lot of trimming to do.
Within 1/4 inch from rubbing cab mount

 

wow, i'll be on a 2.75 in front lift 2.5 in the rear, do you think that extra height would make things not as tight? How do the rims sit in the wheel well, do they stick out much further than the stock setup?
