Depends on mileage. A new taco in that config would run around that price, so used it's a bit high. I'd be thinking more mid to low 20s depending on mileage.

Edit: as the photos scroll through, the Odo shows either 46 or 48k and change. Their asking price is too high.

I would say you can get that down below $25,000

Bought mine from Carmax. 26k miles and was a 2008 for $21,400 (about 7 months ago). That one looks a little high. You can save the money and buy an campertop and still come out less $ than that one is.

Yeah, I actually want a TRD Off road, something below 45k in miles. Just kinda toying with the idea right now. Trying to get a ballpark figure. Im thinking $23k I could get a nice ride.

22,500 to 23,000 would be fair for that vehicle IF the service records were verifiable and all scheduled maintenance had been performed.

Otherwise, I'd want another couple grand off the price.

If you're a skilled haggler, and not desperate, you could likely get them down between 20 and 21k.

Cool, sounds like I am in the right ball park, Im really not interested in that truck, just using it as an example. Kinda want a 5spd also. It seems like the tacos are priced higher here in Colorado, anyone in colorado notice that?

just a few thoughts... first go to a local Credit Union and ask them to give you the "trade in" value of the Trk you want to buy.. then look online. This will give you a comparison of what the "book value" is to the "market value", and also if they are priced higher in CO than anywhere else. Good luck.

Actually NADA.com is a good source too for finding out the value of a vehicle you want to buy. Look at Average or Clean value obviously not Retail.

I went to Kelly blue book, I was curious what the trade in on my 09 DC 4X4 base line tacoma with 8,000 was, they list the trade in at 25,950, that's more then I paid for the truck:DWho knows! I guess I'll check the NADA site and see what they say, probably $19,500:rolleyes:

I just checked NADA and they say the trade in is $25,025, pretty close. A local ford dealership is giving an extra $1,000 down if you trade in your toyota on any new ford, not a chance!

Yeah...KBB is good if your a Seller :D..but most Dealers when buying at auction or taking on trade in use Nada book or another one called "Black Book". Thats why if you're buying good to know value before you go in.

+1 for Carmax. I like them because you can pick almost any vehicle in their nationwide inventory and get it shipped to your nearest store for a few hundred bucks.

I'm up North of Sacramento and couldn't find just the right truck (price and options) around here. After playing around on their website I noticed that down at the Carmax in Los Angeles there was a pretty good deal. I paid $199 to have it loaded on a carrier and shipped up to the Carmax in Sac. As soon as it hit their lot I went down and took a look at it and bought it after a test drive.

Before they ship it to your location they get a sales guy on the phone with you and he walks around the truck describing every little detail about it to you and answers any questions you have, you can also request extra photos if you just want to see more details. The guy checking out the truck for you has no reason to BS you since he's not getting anything out of the deal other than having one less vehicle on his lot for him to sell. They also don't play all the BS dealer games since they get a flat commission on whatever they sell. If you don't like the vehicle when it gets to your location you're out the transfer fee but you're under no obligation to buy.
