Brother in law helped me get the lift on. Went smoothly aside from the weird 22mm rear ubolt nuts. Had to go get an open end 22mm wrench

Apparently I need to get a job where you work! My mods include oil changes and fuel tank fill ups.

Looks good! Cut the u-bolts down though. That way they don't get hung up on anything and then you'll be able to torque them correctly also.

My most recent work. 1/4" aluminum skid plate with 1/4" reinforcement. All welded with Millermatic 252 and Spoolmate Spoolgun.

I have an extra set of 3rd gen, vinyl glovebox inlays in red. They're the ones rrentrops sells on his ebay store. He includes two sets of letters for the glovebox inlays because they're easy to F-up, but I got all mine on the first try. :militarypress:

The extra set is up for grabs if anyone wants them. Live in Silver Spring, work in Annapolis Junction, can meet up in either area.

To TIG weld 1/4" Alum, it takes a beast of a machine. Cheapest one starting around $4k from Miller. The spool gun cost me $1200. I am going to get a TIG machine soon so we can start running bumpers. Spoolgun is best suited for thicker stuff. You can run smaller parts but it is harder to do it cleanly.

Last summer i picked up this Harley Low Rider and gave it to my dad to give him something to tinker with. We've been tinkering with it ever since. I spent today wrenching on it with my dad & brother. Even had my 10yo nephew helping. We rebuilt the rear m/c, bleed the brakes, installed new tires, installed the carb my dad rebuilt and replaced the cables today. We got it roadworthy. The bike cost me $1500, time we spent wrenching with my dad, that's priceless. We even pulled out the go cart that i bought my niece & nephew and got that running also.

I towed my sister's car this weekend. Heaviest load I've towed with this truck. It did perfectly fine. It was about a 50 mile journey with the car. There were no emergency situations. It's not as squatty as it looks in this picture. The trailer is built interestingly, but it did the job just fine. The trailer suspension is loaded evenly when the trailer looks pitched nose down. Not sure why?

Looks like you had the wrong tongue in the receiver. Tongue height to ground should match trailer nose height to ground for level towing. Looks like you have a 3" drop tongue when in reality you should've had a tongue with no drop. Car trailers typically are set 3" higher from the ground at the tongue than a small utility trailer. Most utility trailers you use a drop tongue and a 2" ball, most car trailers are set to use a level one and a 2-5/16" ball. Or at least this is what I have seen with ever trailer I have ever pulled.
