When I was in highschool I would scrounge up change every day for a jr bacon cheeseburger meal from Wendy's. I think it was like $3 at the time. I loved the place. But then they opened an in n out in town and after that not so much.

 

It has now been firmly implanted in my brain that I will NEVER be eating there. Thank you all for your excellent reviews.

Way back when I was still working for my dad (as a carpenter) we remodeled a house that belonged to the man who started Long John Silvers. I did a room where his daughter kept all her tennis trophies. When I finished, he gave me a huge stack of gift certificates. After eating there about 10 times I gave the rest away. That was early '80's maybe....

I had always wanted to try 5 Guys burgers too but it was mediocre at best when I finally did. Only plus was the bag full of fries.

 

Must resist. At night I always seem to struggle with a cigarette craving and a sweet tooth craving. One always wins. Sometimes both win, but I consider it a personal victory when only one wins.
