Thanks, exactly why I decided to come here and finally ask. You guys just saved me a lot of money. I know I'm a noob and such but we all have to start out somewhere. I do appreciate the advice that everyone has put in.

As far as shock valving on the basic OME kit which would you guys suggest? The softer or firmer valving?

Depends on load, with what you described you may want the heavy load but may get by with stock load. PM Marie at HS, she may be able to dial in to what you need.

I will send her a message. I also read on the link you sent on the Pongo build that they used the firmer valving. Will probably end up going with that setup. Thanks for the help.

All depends on how much off roading you do. If you do light off roading few times a year and basically all street, I'd expect them to last 40k+.

I definitely F'd up in my haste though and put the order in for the Stage 4 through ToyTec on Saturday. Will call them tomorrow and see if they can change lifts but I just remembered that all sales are final. Hopefully they might make an exception since the status is still "new".

Typically you have 48 hours to cancel. You already ordered it though so could just run with it and see how it goes.

Any squeak in the UCA's for you or have to service shocks yet?

Have had Icon Stage 4 since end of last summer. Based on my experience, I would not buy again or recommend.

If you are able to cancel your icon order and you end up going ome I would suggest looking at light racing or jba upper control arms. That is if you want to stay away from uni balls. I like my jba uppers because I can get ball joints anywhere for cheap and there is no press needed.

Did this help get your camber back closer to stock vs the factory UCA once it was lifted?

I believe so I can't find specs on camber numbers at the moment. There is a giant thread on TW about them that probably has that info. But at 2.5-3.0in of lift I was able to get my camber in at 0.00.
The jba is non adjustable upper but has built in additional caster at about 3.0 degrees which helps pull your tire away from your cab mount. The light racing uppers have a adjustable ball joint. I haven't ran those ones so I can't comment on them to much.

Oh smitty. Is there anything you like?

I haven't had a single issue with icon or the customer service. I haven't bought a single thing from them. Yet I've probably sent 10-15 emails about various topics. I don't think I've waited longer than 24 hours for a response.

I like my icon stuff. Even fire roads can benefit from remote reservoirs. :)
