I actually want to stay here until I get the transplant as this region has the shortest wait times in the country. Once I have that then I reckon I'd be more agreeable to her locations as I could always haul out to where I want to go.

 

Welp, if you make it down this way...I would be more than happy to take you fishin on Lake Buchanan sometime.

What type of transplant are you waiting on if you don't mind me asking? I used to work in a cardiac ICU that specialized in heart transplants. Pretty amazing how far technology has come.

This. I have PKD and the cure is a kidney transplant.

Need to start getting moving so I can exploit the daylight to help cure primer and top coats so I can get the swing arms finished and mounted.

 

Ah, I see. Well, good luck to you getting a transplant! Working at a trauma center, we see a lot of donor candidates. It is sad that they lost their life, but it is amazing when we hear their organs end up saving many more lives.

Glad your weather is conducive to painting today. I'm stuck inside dreaming of having my bumper installed.

Mornin y'all. Hope everyone survived the storm yesterday. I've seen a few near me not so lucky, roofs torn off, downed trees. Anyone need anything, let me know, and I'll see if I can help.

 

Morning! Came home to some downed limbs and debris.

All in all, we fared quite alright.

New roof is holding up well.

One cool thing about the folks around here is that they band together in chainsaw brigades and roam around helping take pictures for insurance claims, putting tarps over holes in the roof and cutting up the downed wood. If the homeowner doesn't want the wood they take it to the yard behind the firehouse and it gets split and palleted and when it starts getting cold they distribute it out to folks who need wood for heat.

I've been out with them about a half dozen times and it's pretty cool. But sometimes they sketch me out as allot of them start drinking while the saws are still out.
