I will be getting ready to order mine in the next couple weeks. Hoping to receive it before August. Good plan? Will be ordering an AccessRac bare, with the lightbar cut out

thats what I was waiting for too, but i dont think its going to happen until the fall.. you can message Scott and get 5% off now, or wait, and get 20% off for a GB but who knows when..

I have a trip in August, that Id like to have it for.

I would just ask Zach when his next batch will be run for your particular order and make sure you get in for that batch. I think what happens a lot is that, say he runs a batch of cabracs once every 3 or 4 weeks, some people are unknowingly ordering cabracs immediately after a batch is run and then having to wait 3 weeks for the next run plus 3 or 4 weeks for production and shipment. This, in addition to the holiday delays, really pushed the lead times for those who ordered during December 2016 or the first few months of the year. Don't know for sure, just a guess. :notsure:

I will definitely ask him before I order. Just to be clear, I meant AccessRac, for the Access Cab

That makes since. I didn't realize he ran them in batches. But can see how it would make more since to run them in a batch.

Lead times are varying depending on what you get. I can say that right now, normal cabracs are going to be 4 weeks or less. If you are getting a toprac thats where it has taken a bit longer. For some reason getting the mounting feet coated for the topracs has been like pulling teeth recently.

4runner racks are taking a bit longer. They are thicker material and longer parts so fewer of them can go on a sheet of material and the cutting and bending is slower. All that being said I should be getting down to 2 week lead times on all orders by the middle to end of this month. At that time I will decide if I can manage a spring group buy.

What size carriage bolts is everyone using to attach things up top ? I'd like to have some on hand for when the rack gets here.

Ordered a Toprac last weekend. Hoping it won't be too much more than 4 weeks. Hoping to use it for a trip in early/mid May.

Makes since. Especially if you need to take them off and on regularly. Thanks. I'm getting excited after the update on previous page. Sounds like it's getting close.

So finally got my Folding kayak racks up!
Poor pic but excited to share.. Ill get better ones when I pick up Kayaks from winter storage.
Looking for input on mounting from the top with the t-slots instead of struggling under the rack between the roof.
Not to mention the hardware is 1/4" from my sunroof glass and I'm afraid ill forget not to pop the moonroof up instead of sliding it open.

Looks good! I'm looking to purchase a Cabrac but am worried about raising my sunroof. Any issues with spacing without the kayak mounts in place? Thanks!

We went with Swagman racks, good enough quality for what we need and actually really good for the price!
These are the mounts, best pic without pulling em off to show. Having a hard time wrapping my head around your idea

I see what you man, so id have to put two cross bars the proper with from each other rather than the intended locations i have them so they match up with the holes. Got it!
