Very nice IrishPilot! I'd love to go 285 D/T, but since mine is a DD & I don't really O/R much, I'll probably go with 265's also. Where did you get these & do you have any front lift or TSB springs?

Got them at my local Goodyear. No lift or TSB yet, but Im planning 5100s and TSB. Not lifting much though...adjusting the 5100s to level with the TSB.

EDIT I listed the Rugged Trails on Craigslist for $300 last night, and had a guy call me first thing this morning wanting them. So that means all in all I got the Duratracs for $350 when all said and done. Best money spent on my truck yet ;)

I've got the TSB & plan to go 1.75". How much are you thinking doing on your truck?

BFG's fill with mud and then you have a Mickey Thompson Drag Radial. I think they are pieces of CRAP, My Uncle has them on his F250 and we got it stuck up to the running broads in the pasture at my house. I hate those tires, IDK about the Goodyear either, i would go with something totally different.

No idea. Ive been reading all the threads about leveling with the TSB and the 5100s, and I see level pics everywhere from .85, 1.75, and up. I dont want to go too high...when you get some seperation between the wheel and the upper well I think it looks goofy. I want just a slight lift and level look. Ill try to find a pic...

Irish -- you've got 285's? Any lift on your truck, or did you put 'em on the stock height? I wanna get 285's, but my truck is currently stock, don't have the case to lift it until the summer, just wondering if they'll fit with minimal trimming. Thanks!

Nah Ive got 265/75/16s. 285s look awesome, but I dont need the size nor the loss of mpg etc. The 265/75 look much more natural on the truck than the stock 265.70 IMO. Otherwise all stock. Im on the list for 5100s and hope to get the TSB done in the coming weeks once I have the billies.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing, 265's with the 2.5" lift. I just dont want it to look retarded -- I've seen some pics with 3" lift and 265 -- anybody got any for reference...??

Also: killer find, I'm about to order right now, i think.

The more I see of that Duratrac price, the more I'm liking them. I'm gonna need tires by summer.

all i have ever owned since 1992 are the bfg a/t's. averaged 75k per set... i believe the compounds in these tires are much harder. i wouldnt know about other brands but friends have owned them and go thru 3 sets to my one..

    Soon....
Anybody had these in the nasty, sticky, Alabama red clay mud? I know from experience with a Jeep Cherokee that sticky clay does not do well at all with BFG AT's, they do not clean out. I'd really like to know how the duratrac's do in mud since the tread pattern is a little more complex than BFG's...

That looks great! I'm trying to decide on tires for my new 2010 Tacoma. How did those effect your gas mileage? I want something aggressive looking, that won't kill the already marginal mileage I'm getting with a Sport Double Cab 4X4

Good to hear as I am still considering. Although the price of Duratrac's is attractive, longevity is a huge factor too!

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
suprisingly they are very quiet...they do make some noise compared to stock tires...but not much at all.
