WELCOME BACK CHAD!!!!! I don't know how we survived without your constant support!

Got the new light mounts welded on the hybrid. Going to the store in a bit to get a tap so I can surface mount the feniex T3's on the front of the bumper. Then I can finally throw on some paint! Trading the FabFours bumper for a bunch of Milwuakee cordless tools + cash this afternoon. Yea boiiiiii.

Oh man, I'm subscribed to that thread and didn't see it. I had the idea about mounting a RTT to a bedslide, but that upgrade is waaaaaaaay down the line. Suspension/dual battery is up next! Thanks for thinking of me though!

so talk to me about oil (changes)...got mine changed at Round Rock Toyota this weekend and about choked when I was told $80. I was looking over the receipt, and I was charged for 7 qts of synthetic, at $6 a quart. Labor was $23, and the rest was drain plugs, environmental fee, etc. I'm looking at walmart, and the cheapest synthetic would run me $35.

i always thought there was decent money to be saved buying oil away from the dealership...but is it really just the labor that i'm saving on?

I've missed you Dustin, haven't seen you around here in a while. Walmart Mobil 1 5qt jug is normally $25, plus another qt is $7. Get a Toyota oil filter as they are the nicest, and I've got plug washers you can have. Bring it by some time and Ill help you out with a tutorial.

What happens to the old oil? That's always been my biggest question...I mean, I know it can be taken places and disposed of, but is there a charge for that, and how do you collect/ transport it?

I'm about 4 months from being just down 1431 from you.

    Wouldn't you like to know!

I thought the same when I got my first oil change, ever since then I buy 2 5 quart jugs of mobil1 synthetic from Wal-Mart and just have leftovers for the next time. I usually add about a quart by the next oil change anyways as I have a timing cover leak:(. Then get the filters and plugs/washers(if needed) from AutoNation down south. Do it all in the advanced auto parts parking lot right by my house, then dispose of the old oil. It usually saves $20-$30 per oil change.

the gar had a legit 1 million dollars worth of damage, and another house in pv got the roof ripped off, my buddies house in point venture got some windows shattered and water damage, and his poor tundra got some pretty hefty body and window damage.
