Codes for check engine light

I had Autozone check ..heres what came up


1. Air leak in exhaust before rear H025
{Heated Oxygen Snsor bank 1

2. AF sensor error

3.Fuel system fault

4.Faulty Catalytic converter


Any ideas where i should start?

hate to say it, but sounds like the catalytic converter may be the root of the problems, cause if its bad....it'll trigger those other codes.

 

Is that a shop repair?...and is it expensive?

 

find a high flow cat from like summit racing i think there usually like $100 and probably another $50 for an install. a Factory cat will probably set you back a few, this is all what im taking from memory but yes unless you weld its a shops job.

 

not to tuff to install at all. just a few nuts. make yor life easy, grab a can of wd-40, let the truck cool and bang it out. no sweat. dont forget to buy the gaskets too.

 

x2....and get an o2 sensor sim from urdusa.com to turn of the cel.

 

Before getting a new cat, make sure there are no exhaust leaks first! Then check your cats or have a shop check them to see if there bad or working propertly. But the last thing and most commen, Is your o2 sensors. They usually go bad first..

 

Good news, after market cats are a quarter to a third the cost of a factory cat. The down side is they only last a couple of years compared to five to ten years.

 

Thanks e for all the tips...i think i will let my local muffler shop knock it out..im going to change that 02 sensor to..something else i notice last nite..i had it warming up in the drive and i could smell a strong odor coming from the exhaust...it was fuel related odor...
