Would've only taken 10 minutes to install but I don't have an angled ratchet screw driver. Had to remove the rear tires for ease of installing. Took about 45 minutes doing it my way.

I'm still not convinced. Although, I understand yours does have that notch cut out, why does the ones from post 468 (ref.) have no cut out at all? I have about 1/4" gap to 1/2" gap that allows air/grime/stuff to get through.
    I do appreciate the help.
However, Rokblokz could set this straight pretty easily. Take a lot of our guess work out of this. I notice from the other thread (post # 468) the difference. This would allow for there to be virtually no gap between the fender and mud flap.
I emailed them yesterday and have yet to receive a response. Maybe I installed them wrong? but I doubt it... there is a gap between the bottom of the fenders and the mud flap's highest point. Either I got a the wrong one, or I installed them wrong. Surely, they didn't engineer these to have a gap.

Interesting color choice. I ordered three of those fancy screwdrivers from their site. I'm thinking they'll come in handy pretty often.

They definitely will! I wasn't sure how I feel about the green, it definitely stands out, but I don't mind the looks now that they're on.

I know, that is why I said what I said and finally got a response.

I was disappointed with the flaps having gap too and have been wanting to get around to figuring out something to fill in the void, just no time. By making the cut in mine, I think I made the gap bigger. It is just a flat piece of plastic, so even if it was visually covered, there would still be stuff get in due to the contours of the fender. It doesn't allow mud or rocks to be flung into the paint, so they are doing their intended purpose for me. They just look dirty on the back side from gunk dripping down off the finders. This happens on the front as well as the rear.

I think your confusing the fronts and rears. They are not the same shape. The only difference between regulars and XL are overall width. They both have the so called cut out that your referring to. The rears don't have the cutout. They are more square looking.

Unless your saying that you received the flap with the cut out missing. There is a scorched section that allows the user to cut to give the user more clearance. Did your flap not come with the scorched section? Maybe it was already removed? In reference to your post 468. Where is the top one from? Where did you get that one?

That is not his picture and I think that is why he is confused.

Mine did not have that much material to trim. It looks like an older version.

These images show the difference in the optional cutouts as well as the design change. Notice the number of mounting holes.
