    I'm posting this to show you aren't alone. I backed into the new fifth wheel hitch. I was so mad I couldn't breathe.
    I still can't hardly look at the tailgate and it's been about two months.

    Yes, you are right - a real tight fit for the positive battery cable. My shop reinstalled the battery and cage and found some slack in the cable. The fit is now satisfactory.

    It will work. Should make it a lot easier to reach stuff through the windoors when the topper gets here.

    If I was going to do it again I would have made the 2 pieces more equal in size rather than a full sheet with the skinny filler. The thin piece is kind of flimsy. Also needed to use a lot more glue on the carpet.

    Do you happen to have any photos of the lower side of the battery on the engine side? I'm curious to see how they handled where the positive cable comes out of that plastic case below the battery.

    Also, do you have any photos of the positive terminal with the red protective cover removed?

    me too! those hooks are on the 4R Tundra Landcruiser, and I dont understand why Toyota to make this one the only one that's not functional in that sense.
